6 down, 6 to go...

Update
Well, it was a weigh-in... and at least I've made some progress, though not as much as I would like. I'm slowing down, and that, I don't like. There have been a lot of days off between the last weigh-in and this one (Christmas, New Years, snow days & MLK). I don't want to stall and I want to change this! I'm going to have to keep pushing hard in every workout, picking up the pace, not giving up. And I'm going to re-discipline myself in my eating, no more small indulgences: alcohol, french fries, diet coke are going back into the once-a-month category. So with those resolutions, such as they are...

the Stats (part 7)
Weight: 145 (5 pounds down from last time)

Caliper Measurements:
Tricep: 21, previously 24
Abdomen: 20, previously 19
Thigh: 40, previously 39
Still at 30.4% body fat. My goal for this is 22%.

Other measurements:
Arm: 9 in, previously 9 in
Torso: 25 in., previously 25.5 - lost half an inch!
Waist: 27 in.,previously 28 - lost 1inch!
Hips: 35.5 in., previously 36.5 - lost 1 inch!
Thigh: 18 in., previously 20.5 - lost 2.5 inches... yayyyy!

3 Minute Step Test (Heart Rate): 110 bpm., previously 109 bpm. Still on the low side of "Average." My next goal here is to get down to 102 bpm which would be "Above Average." "Excellent" would be 81.
Pushups: 35 in 60 secs. or as long as I could go without stopping.
Situps: 67 in 60 secs.
21 less than last time... Peggy was convinced that the 88 from last time was a product of Mike miscounting or something... comical ;)

Update Pictures, taken today, 1.20.11

Sassy ;) My legs still look better when they're not side by side...

At least my shorts are getting too big :)

Peggy is convinced I'm "almost there" and that 120 lbs will be too small for me. So we've been talking about when I'll know "I'm there." I'd like to have a body fat % of 22. I'd like to have smaller thighs and a flat stomach that doesn't roll when I sit down. I'd like to wear clothes size 4-6. I think these things will be achieved at 120 lbs, but if it comes sooner, so be it!

5 down... 7 to go!

Update
Ooookay, so my 5th weigh in was ages ago, on December 21, and I should've put it up here for posterity, but the truth is, I don't have all my info like I normally do. When I showed up for my weigh in, Peggy informed me that because Curtis was out gallivanting around instead of teaching the BeFit class, she would have to teach, and I would be with a substitute. Now, I've basically gotten over my fear of substitutes, Mike has trained me so often, but for a weigh in... now that's a different matter. Turns out that measurements - usually thought of as objective - can be subjective, depending on who's doing the measurements... As it happened, Mike took all my measurements, and they were all over the place - some way higher than last time (those with the measuring tape), some way lower (those with the calipers); Peggy took one look and then hastily redid them all at the end of my workout. I was so flustered by the confusion that I didn't write anything down the way I should've... so there's the caveat to any of the data below...

the Stats (part 6)
Weight: 150 (whew, this was a relief)! Really, I thought I had lost about 8 lbs, what with Thanksgiving, the cruise, etc., so when I hopped on the scale and it said 150, I was genuinely as surprised as Peggy. The day of my weigh-in, I had been careful not to eat much, if anything - kashi bar, string cheese, etc. - and I had sipped on a laxative tea, trying to get rid of any water weight, so it must've worked!

Caliper Measurements:
Tricep: ??, previously 23
Abdomen: ??, previously 17
Thigh: ??, previously 42
All I know is that after Peggy recalculated everything, I was at 30.4% body fat, previously 31.0%... Sorry for no more details

Other measurements:
Arm: 9.5 in., previously 9 in - gained .5 inch? Maybe this was because it was post-workout?
Torso: ?? in., previously 27
Waist: ?? in.,previously 28
Hips: 36.5 in., previously 38 - lost 1.5 inches
Thigh: ?? in., previously 20

3 Minute Step Test (Heart Rate): 109 bpm., previously 111 bpm. Still on the low side of "Average." My next goal here is to get down to 102 bpm which would be "Above Average"
Pushups: 35 in 60 secs. or as long as I could go without stopping. 3 more than last time!
Situps: 88 in 60 secs.
18 more than last time!

And since you folks are probably getting tired of all these pics of me half-naked, here's one in some of my recently purchased "skinny" clothes (on sale at Banana Republic!) taken around the same time...
